OUR SERVICES

At the Cupping Clinic we understand that your physical and mental health is your most precious asset. Without a balanced body and mind, carrying out daily tasks and achieving your life’s goals can be difficult if not impossible. We have a range of alternative and holistic health therapies that will rejuvenate and invigorate your body and mind. Our friendly and qualified practitioners are ready to help you achieve good health. Below are some of our therapies we have to offer.

DRY CUPPING

Dry cupping is also another ancient medicinal practice, which our practitioners have several years’ experience in. Unlike Wet Cupping, Dry Cupping does not involve drawing out toxic and stagnated blood through incisions. The therapist will use a pump and create a vacuum within the cup that will draw out the toxins and stagnated blood to the surface. This method of Cupping is often used as prelude to wet cupping. Again the pain is very minimal other than the pinching of the skin, which leaves a circular bruise. This usually heals within a week.

WET CUPPING

Wet cupping is our most popular and most sought after treatment. Our qualified practitioners have several years of experience in this ancient and highly effective treatment method. Combined with their years of experience and knowledge and our modern approach, wet cupping is literally the cure for many health conditions. The practitioner will place suction cups along the body and make tiny incisions which are no more than pin pricks, and this will then allow all the toxins and stagnated blood to be expelled from the body. Once this is done you will feel, lighter, energized, and invigorated. Continuous or regular cupping has been proven to alleviate many common health conditions. The pain is very minimal and the tiny cuts used to draw out the toxic blood heal very quickly. The circular bruising marks usually heal within a week or so.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscle tissue. It is used for chronic aches and pain and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back and lower back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders. Some of the strokes or movements are the same as those used in traditional massage therapy but the movement is slower and the pressure applied reaches deeper and is concentrated on areas of tension and pain in order to reach the sub-layer of muscles and the fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles). At certain points during the massage, most people find there is usually some discomfort and pain. It is important to tell the massage therapist if any soreness or pain you experience is outside your comfort range. There is usually some stiffness or pain after a deep tissue massage, but it should subside within a day or so. The massage therapist may recommend applying ice to the area after the massage.

FIRE CUPPING

Cupping or Fire Cupping is an ancient therapy used in China for thousands of years. Special glass cups are used and a flame is lit inside the cup before quickly placing the cup on the patient’s body. This lack of oxygen is what creates the suction necessary for therapeutic benefit. Once the cup is in place, oil can be applied to the skin and the cups can be moved around an area of the body, or, they can be left stationary to target a specific acupoint or muscle. During a cupping procedure the patient should experience a warm, pulling, stretching sensation, but not pain.

HEALTH CHECK

At the cupping clinic for a basic add-on price we check your blood pressure, oxygen otherwise known as your SpO2 Levels as well as your BMI (Body Mass Index) levels.
